Touch Bar features were originally announced during Apple’s October event last year. Office insider beta program got there first chance to experience new update. Now Microsoft has released a new update for all office 2016 user for Mac with Touch Bar support. In this update Microsoft is adding Touch Bar integration to Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook in Microsoft Office for Mac.Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook include Touch Bar features enabling quick access to text formatting, object ordering and other tools. Heading and paragraph styles appear pre-rendered as Touch Bar buttons so you can preview what the text will look like at a glance.
For Word, users can enter Focus Mode to hide all distractions on their primary display with the most-commonly used formatting options visible, instead, on the Touch Bar.This is one of the most interesting features of the new update is ‘Word Focus Mode’. In Powerpoint Touch Bar commands allow you to easily manipulate graphic elements and make it simple to find the right object and move where ever you want. All controls are now on the Touch Bar when you slide show the presentation slide thumbnails and timer help you keep time track as you present. Heading and paragraph styles appear pre-rendered as Touch Bar buttons so you can preview what the text will look like at a glance. In Excel immediately pulls up the most recently used functions in the Touch Bar. In Outlook Touch Bar provides quick access to the most commonly used commands as you work on email and manage your calendar. When composing a new mail, the Touch Bar displays a list of recent documents. One tap and you can add a file—either as an attachment or a link.
